Sometimes I find a day of stormy, treacherous clouds much more inspiring than a beautiful, calm day.

There is a real depth to this painting; there are layers of tonal colour, marks applied quite loosely, areas of print, as well as carefully defined lines of contrast.

Acrylic and mixed media on cradled wooden panel. Sealed and finished with a protective UV varnish. The wooden frame is painted in Farrow and Ball, Pointing.
